>> ** (WW) System lacks support for changing MTRRs
T> Don't know if it has to do with your x crasch. This is the only bad entry T> in your XFree86.0.log i saw. (WW) means a warning and must not be the T> cause for your hanging X. I use X4.1 too and have no such problems. And T> i don't have a log entry like this in my XFree86.0.log. Don't know really T> what you have to do. The only i can say is, that MTRR support is a part T> of kernel. Which kernel do you use? May be possible you have to upgrade to T> a newer version. MMRR can be compiled in or not. It is kernel option - no need to upgrade kernel. Just recompile. Anyway it is not critical error. It only affects X server perfomance (noticeable difference when playing movies in mplayer or aviplay for example). -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- | Ilya Martynov (http://martynov.org/) | | GnuPG 1024D/323BDEE6 D7F7 561E 4C1D 8A15 8E80 E4AE BE1A 53EB 323B DEE6 | | AGAVA Software Company (http://www.agava.com/) | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
