  in most cases xcutsel will help you. the problem is that different
programs use different clipboards. I don't really understand the deep
magic of x clipboard but the one thing that you need to keep in mind is
that there is more then one buffer (PRIMARY, number 0 - n, possibly
others).

  I am not sure why some applications use different clipboards
(buffers)... anybody has explanation? pointer to docs?
