That sounds like a message from GDM. Check the server configuration at the bottom of /etc/gdm/gdm.conf. There should be lines more or less like: [servers] 0=/usr/bin/X11/X -deferglyphs 16 vt7 -- Eric G. Miller <[email protected]>
