Does anybody know how gpg selects which of the keyring files you specify to it to attempt to write to? When I put "keyring /usr/share/keyrings/debian-keyring.gpg" at the bottom of my ~/.gnupg/options file as the documentation for debian-keyring suggests, then gpg tries to write new keys that I --import, or --recv-keys to get into that file (which of course, I don't have write access to). Is there some way to specify which keyring I want gpg to write new keys into, or am I misunderstanding something? thanks, crh - -- Corey R.
