It's probably easiest to set up mail from your machine. Otherwise, you
could use 'reportbug -p' to print the template to standard output, then
drop that template into whatever mailer you use and edit and send it
from there.

Not really. Even bug reports filed against non-existent packages go to
real people these days (I'm one of them) to make sure typos in bug
reports don't cause them to be lost.
