Problems with wget.

I do wget ftp://bla.bla.bla.bla/file
Error: Proxy ftp://proxy.one.two.three:3128/ must be HTTP.  
When I do wget http://bla.bla.bla.bla/file - OK, this works.
In .wgetrc:

#http_proxy = http://proxy.yoyodyne.com:18023/                         
http_proxy = http://proxy.one.two.three:3128/                           
ftp_proxy = ftp://proxy.one.two.three:3128/
