I am trying to use tin for my laptop in my local network (I havent a local dns working for it) the problem is that despite the fact I have the correct order in /etc/host.conf (host,bind) and all the entries in /etc/hosts properly configured in every machine on my network tin tries to query the dns for my local nntp server.. (I can see this using strace).
