You need /dev/3dfx only if you are using XFree 3.3.x, and if so, install device3dfx-source and the related dependencies. If you are using XFree 4.1.x you don't nedd the /dev/3dfx, you had to enable the kernel DRI module and install a glide library (there is a packages but right now don'r recall the name =). Andrea
