i could do that, but the weird thing is, i cannot think of a thing in the world that apt could do to bring down a system. all it was instructed to do was download packages, even if it had a fatal error or segfault it shouldn't of affected the system in any way.. now if it was actually upgrading a package and that part bombed i could understand ..but not just doing a download ... nate
