I'm running this distro http://www.e-smith.org/ on a box for my colleagues. The only feature that I use is the "Ibay", this lets me create a directory that is accessible through samba (windows), netatalk (apple), www and ftp. It will also let me treat user home directories as Ibays.
Any package that will do this for debian, check that all the needed kernel modules are in place etc? op -- http://plusseven.com/gpg/
