I've installed the blackdown java packages. Add this line to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb ftp://metalab.unc.edu/pub/linux/devel/lang/java/blackdown.org/debian/ woody non-free And then: apt-get update apt-get install j2sdk1.3 j2sdk1.3-doc-installer I'm actually using unstable now, but java is working in both mozilla and galeon.
