Greetings Troy: That sure smells like a memory issue. Though the rest of the message leads me to wonder if it is a mb problem. A good way to verify your memory is by running memtest86: memtest86 - A thorough real-mode memory tester. <from apt-cache search> This lets you boot onto a memtest86 kernel and starts running a series of tests on your memory. I just added a lilo.conf entry for the box I was testing, and it worked very well. > What I've done: > > 1.) Pulled out everything but the video card. > 2.) Good work. I have heard many horror stories about video cards. I do not know of any hardware tools, but I bet there is a Debian user that may have some ideas. I also have a box that gets silly in my shed. I have a feeling that it might actually be the AMD cpu :( Best of luck to you. tatah - -- Jaye Inabnit\ARS ke6sls\/A GNU-Debian linux user\/ http://www.qsl.net/ke6sls If it's stupid, but works, it ain't stupid.
