I don't know what happend, sounds strange. I always use IDE disks within VMware, but that's more a personal opinion. Quick workaround: Reboot. Boot from the installation CDrom and on the command prompt type: boot: Linux root=/dev/sda1 After finishing the installation, run lilo manually. /etc/lilo should have lines like boot=/dev/sda root=/dev/sda1 Jan. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
