There is a driver for your Aureal Audio card at sourceforge.net/projects/aureal/ . It is not the Debian version but if you read the readme I think that it works great, its the driver that I use. The name of the debian version is au88xx-kernel-source_1.1.2-1_i386.deb If you do a search with google you might find a copy, if not let me know and I'll send you a copy.
