But on my laptop which is running SuSE 10.0, I have both the 
/boot/grub/menu.lst and /etc/grub.conf, and their contents are different.

(resent to the list.. Sorry, for duplicate)

I think Debian does it a little different then other distros, its in
/boot/grub and the info seems to be stored in menu.1st
