If I recall correctly, I had to use quotes around the (hd0) when I ran grub-install:
$ grub-install "(hd0)" -- Torquil Macdonald S�rensen, http://folk.uio.no/tmac -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
