I found that I hadn't installed cupsys-bsd. Now I did and Now all works fine. But I am still curious. what is the correct syntax for emacs-lisp so that i can get a command line option into the .emacs file. for the ps-lpr-command variable instead of '(ps-lpr-command "kprinter --nodialog") which does not work.....
