Hi, Would some kind soul please clarify:
1) The following tar command will put one or two file marks at the end? tar c -f /dev/nst0 /some/dir Some documentation says it will put two, but it doesn't seem to be the case. 2) To verify the file above, should one use: mt bsf 2 mt fsf tar d -f /dev/nst0 /some/dir ? If so, it means only one file mark has been written by tar in 1)? In that case, how can the tape know how many files are there on the tape?
