That's a good one .. :-) ...! I posted here because I started looking at dar and it looked like an interesting component of a more general backup strategy .. I have no problem reading man pages or even the code to figure out the technical details when I have to .. So, I posted some general questions as to how I can integrate dar to my backup/archiving "strategy" to the dar user Mailin List .. but got no reply. Apparently, since mkisofs and cdrecord are different components the folks on that list just ignore any questions that fall outside what they feel is the scope of the dar utility. I did did research this prior to posting and found a couple of useful howto's that document what your options were do back in 2000 or thereabout and explainin the then current restrictions .. but nothing really state-of-the-art.
