yep. you are right. ksysguard writes nice graphics on my desktop 6 by now
and: as far as my machines are concerned: they are kde. except one hd with slackware 11 on it: xfce. 8-)

a quick check:

glcpu - 3D-plotter for system activity

Take your pick, I've never seen any of them.
