Yes, it has been discussed many times. Since you're using gmail, you have to either pop your gmail and use a MUA (like IceDove, Kmail, Evolution, Sypheed, mutt, etc) and use a "reply to list" funcion. Otherwise, you will need to edit each message you reply to so that it is not sent to the person, but to the list.
