i have squid 2.6 on debian 4.0 etch , the proxy is very slow on complex sites that uses many frames and redirections like msn.com , msn.com take much more time than direct connection to retrieve the entire site and site's articles sometimes takes too long time to be printed. i tried to tune for maximum the squid.conf but no way to solve the problem. Note that on the previous version on sarge 3.1 , squid performance was distinctly more faster than this new release without so many changes on the default config.
