Well, if you don't want a display manager you could always use apt-get to remove it, and it should automatically not be in use; But if it was installed automatically (The GNOME metapackage) then I would just keep it installed, but disabled. Try installing sysv-rc-conf (apt-get install sysv-rc-conf) and turning of any *dm you see on every runlevel (Just for a note, runlevel2 is the default Debian runlevel, as opposed to SuSE which uses 1 if I remember correctly). - -- http://digital-haze.net/~pobega/ - My Website If programmers deserve to be rewarded for creating innovative programs, by the same token they deserve to be punished if they restrict the use of these programs. - Richard Stallman -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGZGphg6qL2BGnx4QRAs1vAKCwL4oXXKqN3h2SgrO+Oc+odyAgjACeKnoa xAyuVB2HtFvaDRVWH2bf6dg= =hnZV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
