-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Running a debian sarge configuration - I have a epsom stylus c80 colour printer connected to the parallel port.
Until recently this printer has been working perfectly under cups - but recently a test page showed missing cyan ink. I assume some ink cartridge is low - especially as the light on the printer that says this is on. I have replaced the cartridge but a) The light is still on, and b) Cups attempt to print a test page does nothing I installed the escputil package to try and see whether that could provide any information but when I run escputil -i -r /dev/lp0 from the command line nothing happens (I get a short message about using escputil -l to get more help but then it hangs without completing forever). I've tried this with cupsd running and with cupsd halted. Also echo -en "blah\f\r" > /dev/lp0 when cupsd is running comes back saying device or resource busy - when it is not running this command hangs too. I am at a loss of what to try next - any ideas - -- Alan Chandler [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/JAgpuFHxcV2FFoIRAvwBAKCt9f03pFiMX5liuc4X60dpQr5akACgrrA1 rbI36vLK0Yqw+sFZquzATuA= =rxK7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
