I've just compiled this kernel, and I am running with it. Some issues I had before with test1 are gone (for example I was unable to unmount my ethernet card upon reboot).
I have to say that everything seem to be working well, that ACPI seem to work (although no thermal monitoring in my machine). My PCMCIA and USB port seem to be working OK. I just have 2 issues: 1) I have not been able to enable the linux (Tux) logo during the initial bootup, except in monochomatic (an it is very ugly). Anybody know how to enable this (the little penguin on the left upper corner during boot).... As you see not a life or death issue. 2) The second issue is that, KLaptop lets you configure ACPI, and to enable Standby, Suspend and Hibernate (suspend to disk). But apparently you have to enter a comand in a little dialog box.
