Where this number come from? Isn't it the value will be vary depends on the medium we are making cp from and to? The speed of harddisk if we are copying on same harddisk, different harddisk, and so on if we copy with USB interface (USB 1.0, USB 2.0). I am asking, how we measure the speed of bytes transfered?
