By changing the boolian value for in the following line in Icedoves's prefs.js file: print.postscript.cups.enabled from "false" (as was set on installation of Icedove) to "true", the following additional option appeared in the "Printer Name" window: CUPS/HP2P. The original option (Postscript/default) remained, but CUPS/HP2P was the one to appear in the window when printing was invoked. With this change I was able to print Icedove e-mails. I still cannot however print from Dosemu applications.
