I remember more people complaining about performance problems with radeon cards and kernel 2.6.29; see also the warning that Jan Willem posted from his Xorg log: (WW) RADEON(0): Direct rendering disabled AFAIK, kernel 2.6.30 is supposed to fix these issues. The Debian kernel team has recently made 2.6.30-rc5 kernel images available in /dists/trunk, so you could test this yourself without having to compile your own kernel: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianKernel -- Regards, | http://users.icfo.es/Florian.Kulzer Florian | -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
