Hello all, I'm running a Xen virtualized Debian Etch guest. On friday I had to do some maintenance work (memory upgrade) and had to shutdown the whole system. After a reboot one (and only one!) of the Xen DomU does not start correctly. The System is a Debian Lenny with Xen and several VMs (mixed Lenny and Etch systems).
A closer look reveals me the following: ============== Starting MySQL NDB Data Node: ndbd/usr/sbin/ndbd: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: Input/output error Starting web server (apache2).../usr/sbin/apache2: error while loading shared libraries: libaprutil-1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: Input/output error r...@n1v3.support:~# ls -la /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6* ls: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: Input/output error ?rwsrwsrwt 65535 4294967295 4294967295 4294967295 1970-01-01 00:59 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.8 r...@n1v3.support:~# ls -la /usr/bin/apt* ls: /usr/bin/apt-cache: Input/output error ls: /usr/bin/apt-cdrom: Input/output error ls: /usr/bin/apt-config: Input/output error ls: /usr/bin/apt-get: Input/output error ls: /usr/bin/aptitude: Input/output error ls: /usr/bin/apt-key: Input/output error -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 20688 2009-04-21 11:17 /usr/bin/apt-extracttemplates -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 199028 2009-04-21 11:17 /usr/bin/apt-ftparchive -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 27544 2009-04-21 11:17 /usr/bin/apt-sortpkgs ============== It seems some files on this VM are somehow corrupt. But I really do not know how this can happen or how to repair this system. The biggest problem here is, that I can not start a package manager because /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 is corrupted... Does anyone has some clues how to repair this VM apart from reinstallation? Thx in advance, Michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
