I renamed that one and made libjavaplugin.so link to /usr/lib/jvm/jre1.6.0_19/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so. Now the command "update-alternatives --display firefox-javaplugin.so" returns: firefox-javaplugin.so - status is auto. link currently points to /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/i386/gcjwebplugin.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/i386/gcjwebplugin.so - priority 1061 Current `best' version is /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/i386/gcjwebplugin.so.
