Sounds like a "browser conspiracy" :-P No, now seriously, "google.com.br" opens fine here from iceweasel and epiphany and I suppose your network settings are the same regardless the browser used, so... - It happens only with just one site? - Have you tried to open the site behing a proxy (i.e., http://www.the- cloak.com/login.html)? - Try cleaning history, cookies, cache... from icewasel/epiphany.
