I usually simply hit Reply All, as that ensures that the message will at a minimum go to the list no matter which list I'm posting on. If I know to which letter you were referring, I might be able to answer you with more detail. As I don't know to which letter you refer, then we can assume that the Reply-To headers of the message had that list. Only now am I delibertely changing the CC of the message, as you requested not to CC you.
