Hi everyone, I am looking for a good ocr software. A quick internet search showed that there are several softwares such as OCRad, tesseract, etc.. and if I didn't get it wrong, tesseract is one of the best softwares (maybe the best one)
however, in the repos (sid-squeeze) an older version of it is available (2.x). Someone who is using tesseract can tell me what I should do? Shall I compile the new version or is it not worth the trouble?
