Also you might want to keep it simple and not indicate the depth (I doubt you really need 16,7 milion colors in the console). GRUB_GFXMOD=1366x768 GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=keep If this doesn't work you can also try 8 or 16 bit depth.
