For me as well. But perhaps it is a lower priority debconf question? Perhaps your debconf priority is set too low to see it? dpkg-reconfigure debconf Then answer the "Ignore questions with a priority less than..." with medium. Then try dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common again. Just a thought... Bob
