I switched from GNOME to LXDE when Fedora 15 emerged with GNOME3, and have never looked back. I was a happy enough GNOME 2 user, but with hindsight wish I had moved sooner. I now use LXDE on Debian Squeeze as well as Fedora 15/16, and am a very happy camper indeed.
