Dear RIKS contact,
I'm happy to inform you of our latest introductory training course "Land use modeling with Metronamica" Since the first release of the Metronamica land use modeling software in 1998, RIKS has organized many workshops and training courses to educate users on how to work with the package: how to fill it with data, run simulations, interpret results and integrate Metronamica into a wider modeling toolchain. Since 2010 we've organized several introductory courses that deal with the Metronamica fundamentals. I'm emailing you today to let you know about the latest edition of this introductory course. In this 2-day course, the following topics are covered: * Land use modeling: real-world applications * What is Metronamica? * How does Metronamica work? * Setting up a Metronamica application for a new region * Running simulations and interpreting results * Integrating Metronamica with other models * There is plenty of time to discuss land use modeling in general and any specific modeling projects you may have in mind or are already working on, and how Metronamica can play a role in those projects. The course will be held on November 15th and 16th 2011 at the RIKS offices in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Course fee is 500 not including VAT, meals and lodging. To subscribe, please send an email to jvanvl...@riks.nl (or reply to this email) with your name, affiliation and number of people attending. We will contact you to discuss payment options. If you want to learn more now about Metronamica, download a brochure with a quick summary of applications from http://www.riks.nl/resources/Metronamica_brochure_web.pdf or check out the Metronamica website at http://www.metronamica.nl. Of course, feel free to forward this invitation to all people you think are interested in learning more about land use modeling with Metronamica! Thank you for your time and I hope to meet you in November! With kind regards, Hedwig van Delden Director, Research Institute for Knowledge Systems If you do not wish to receive any emails from RIKS in the future, please visit http://www.riks.nl/unsubscribe.php - with our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
