I have Mplayer installed and working on numerous different file formats. I also have a USB 2.0 HP DVD+RW drive working with scsi-emulation. I can do most everything with this drive, including transferring at USB 2.0 rates and burning DVD+RW/CD-RWs. However, when attempting to play LOTR dvd mplayer exits with the following error output:
Playing dvd://2 Reading disc structure, please wait... There are 3 titles on this DVD. There are 22 chapters in this DVD title. There are 1 angles in this DVD title. libdvdread: Invalid title IFO (VTS_01_0.IFO). Cannot open the IFO file for DVD title 1. I've tried a few different DVDs and different titles with the same outcome. Here is what happens with the kernel (/var/log/messages... I hope this wraps correctly): Oct 9 05:47:38 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 26144 Oct 9 05:48:20 AMDKing last message repeated 3 times Oct 9 05:48:45 AMDKing last message repeated 2 times Oct 9 05:48:51 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 14202840 Oct 9 05:49:36 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 26144 Oct 9 05:49:53 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 26144 Oct 9 05:50:36 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 150448 Oct 9 05:50:50 AMDKing last message repeated 2 times Oct 9 05:50:55 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 15713088 Oct 9 05:51:03 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 15713088 Oct 9 05:51:46 AMDKing kernel: I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 31408 Is this a possible USB kernel bug or have I got something wrong? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
