Hi

you can use chkconfig ( apt-get install chkconfig) command to disable
services on boot

root@do1:~/.SpiderOak# chkconfig --list apache2
apache2                   0:off  1:off  2:on   3:on   4:on   5:on   6:off

root@do1:~/.SpiderOak# chkconfig  apache2 off
root@do1:~/.SpiderOak# chkconfig --list apache2
apache2                   0:off  1:off  2:off  3:off  4:off  5:off  6:off

root@do1:~/.SpiderOak# chkconfig  apache2 on

root@do1:~/.SpiderOak# chkconfig --list apache2
apache2                   0:off  1:off  2:on   3:on   4:on   5:on   6:off
