The OP might want a .pkla file somewhere in/etc/polkit-1/localauthority with the contents: [Mount internal devices] Identity=unix-user:brian Action=org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount-system-internal ResultAny=yes ResultInactive=yes ResultActive=yes On the other hand he might see this as unsuitable in some way.
