Hello, Googling didn't seem to reveal a definitive answer...
I'm still very new to the debian world, so... anyway... I just updated my wheezy install from 7.5 to 7.7, but I'm surprised that I wasn't prompted to reboot, as the kernel image was updated: linux-headers-3.2.0-4-amd64 (3.2.57-3+deb7u2 => 3.2.63-2) linux-headers-3.2.0-4-common (3.2.57-3+deb7u2 => 3.2.63-2) linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 (3.2.57-3+deb7u2 => 3.2.63-2) I found this: https://wiki.debian.org/HowToUpgradeKernel But it doesn't really say anything about it. I just checked after the upgrade, and uname -a still shows: 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.57-3+deb7u2 x86_64 GNU/Linux So apparently I need to reboot to be on the new kernel image... but, since I wasn't prompted, it apparently isn't important to do so right away? Just trying to get my head around this. Thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
