I have had this happen when my harddisk was at 100%. I got as far as the graphical login, but it didn't accept my login. I'm not sure but I believe I logged in via ssh or maybe I was still connected. I don't recall that. Anyway, on my end it was solved by freeing diskspace. Regards, Benedict
