Frequently a web link labelled as being a PDF turns out to go to another web page where you can/may be able to download the actual PDF. I get caught out by this when I paste the link into a wget command+, download the file afile.pdf, and then try to open it in mc. The response is afile.pdf: HTML document, UTF-8 Unicode text, with very long lines which, of course, it is. + wget gets the metadata, so the download obtains its correct timestamp. Cheers, David.
