It could be due to archive signature being incorrect or something. You can *force*-override this with [ trusted=yes ] in the "deb" line, as in; deb [ trusted=yes ] http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stretch main non-free contrib But it is strongly recommended against using this arbitrarily.
