What is model and make of your SSD?
Is internal 1TB HDD detected in Debian installer?
If it is detected, then the reason why SSD could not be detected on
Apple (or some other OEMs) products is cleverly crafted BIOS, so only
that manufacturer could sell you its overpriced upgrade options.
It may help if your SSD will be the only one hard drive installed in
your system, when you try to install Debian from USB drive.
