Which DE or WM? (inxi -Sa or -Sxx)
What graphics hardware? (inxi -Ga or -Gxx)

sudo echo B_ALLOW_UPDATE=true >> /etc/inxi.conf # allow to upgrade to a recent,
less broken inxi version than whatever antique version your Debian provides
inxi -U # update inxi
inxi -GSayz     # get all the info to post here nicely formatted

Start by looking at your Xorg.0.log, found either in /var/log/ or in
~/.local/share/xorg/. ~/.xsession-errors might have clues, as might the journal
(man journalctl)
