On Debian, I suggest two software applications:
1. GIMP to make the drawings.
2. LibreOffice Writer (or Draw) to do the booklet, page layout, text, etc..
The workflow would be to create drawings with GIMP, save each to a
graphics file, and insert -> image the files into a LibreOffice
document. Object linking and embedded might be another possibility.
