I know what the resolution of my display is. https://frame.work/gb/en/products/display-kit?v=FRANJF0001 > I would expect your laptop to have a rather special UEFI BIOS > to accommodate its resolution oddities. Is a laptop UEFI BIOS > update available for it? It has no resolution oddities, what are you talking about? I'm running the most recent updated BIOS, which came out earlier this month. > inxi is handier than all that, if not xrandr itself. I don't see any info from inxi that hasn't already been got from other commands, but OK. "videoinfo" is a new one for me. I'll give that a go next time I reboot. Until I have some idea what modes might be supported it's quite tedious just guessing. xrandr suggested 1600x1200 so that's why I tried it.
