I think I usually put the card in a reader. Believe I've used gphotofs in the past if connecting the camera. "mkdir photo_mount" "gphotofs photo_mount" open photo_mount in Thunar and copy the files somewhere else. to unmount "fusermount -u photo_mount" mick
