My main laptop currently has 8GB, and only recently have I sometimes had problems with not enough RAM (when having 10 or 20 heavier browser tabs open). Go with the device you like more physically (some keyboards can drive you crazy), sometimes on older laptops the charger plugs (non-USB-C vs USB-C) may be the deciding factor. What I want to say: Running Debian Trixie on them will probably work just fine on both, decide on other criteria. /ralph
